Vaughan's Anchor Inn, acclaimed widely as the Best Seafood Bar in the country, has been in the family since 1979. Vaughans has retained its old world character and charm with a traditional old style shop at the front of the bar, with the original open turf fire creating a warm, cosy atmosphere. The original bar is still intact, with new dining areas to the rear of the bar offering a fine food experience. Here you can order a pint of Guinness , Seabass ... and your groceries all at once!

John and Annette Vaughan run the bar and restaurant with their son Denis (head chef), and young John. Now there are three generations of Vaughans partaking in this family enterprise and Denis has continued to grow the business and introduce some of the finest in seafood dining in the country.

Denis Vaughan has developed a fine dining experience not be missed. He is a self-trained chef whose hard work and commitment to fresh, creative and unusual dining continues to flourish and win awards country wide.
